Day 6

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Lazy Sunday! Sunday Funday! Last day off... Boo!  On Sundays we have always gone to my grandparents house. It was just something we did. Pop cooked good ole southern food and we talk and napped. Now that my sweet nephew is in our lives Sundays are so much fun with the little guy. Walking and playing outside. The little Rogers kids come over of course and they run snd play with Gran and Pops dogs. Fun times. I love this 30 year tradition. ( gag, I'll be 30 this year)

That being said... Pops cooking. I'm pretty sure I gain weight looking at it. Love his heart he loves to cook. 83 years old and you can't keep him out of the kitchen. He made the following...
•roast
•yellow rice
• brown gravy
• green beans
• black eyes peas
• rolls
• banana pudding
sweet tea with probably 2 cups sugar.

I brought my lunch because I'm not sure how much salt he used or seasoning. And I'm trying to eat as clean as possible.

My lunch
•baked chicken seasoned with mrs dash spicy
• sautéed spinach and cherry tomatoes
•watermelon

(Breakfast)
• spark
• catalyst
•pro biotics restore pills

•eggs with rooster sauce and dairy free cheese, avocado and watermelon

I didn't have a snack today. Shocked really because I didn't do much. Watched stuff on the dvr and passed out early to get ready to go back to work.

Dinner

Zoodles of course! I'm hooked on them. The flavor the texture puts pasta to shame.

•cherry tomatoes
• fresh garlic
• zucchini and yellow squash zoodles
• cut up grilled chicken sautéed in with everything
• omegaplex and catalyst

Sooo good!

Back to work tomorrow for a long 14 hour day. Time to meal prep for the day

He wouldn't leave my bottle alone

Day 5

Monday, April 7, 2014

Day 5 was back to a regular schedule minus the work part. I had te day off and it was pretty outside. I played with the pups outside for a while and cleaned a little. There wasn't much I could do inside since my hubby was sleeping. He's on nights right now and I hate it.

I wanted to vacuum so bad but was afraid to wake him so I did dishes and laundry. Boring!!!! I hate cleaning and I'm not good at it really... ;) I would rather call on my bestie and neighbor to clean our house. She does a better job than me.

The cleanse is going well. I'm learning more this time and I feel very educated compared to last cleanse. Hello I found dairy free cheese!!! For the WIN!

Where has that been my whole life anyways? I've been closed minded to a lot of things food wise and I'm willing to open up and try new things.

I am thinking of staying gluten free and dairy free after the cleanse. I really feel better with my stomach issues too.

I've also decided to go get a food allergy test. I probably don't want to know. But after seeing a friends and seeing all she was allergic to made me curious.

Woke up and had a spark!! Needed it too!

•Spark, catalyst

• breakfast- scrambled eggs with dairy free cheese, half an avocado and some rooster sauce

•snack- watermelon

• lunch- baked spagatti zoodles with eggplant parm.

• snack- apple with dairy free chocolate chips and Justin's almond butter.

• dinner- baked chicken, zoodles sautéed with cherry tomatoes and spinach.

Herbal cleanse pill at night.

Days off are harder on the cleanse. When  I have a schedule I do better. Consistency is the key!

It's was overall a pretty boring day of catching up on my dvr and cleaning house.

Baked veggie spaghetti with eggplant

Saturday, April 5, 2014

I have a confession. I've never had baked spaghetti. EVER! It might be a texture issue with the noodles being stuck together. I'm weird whatever!

Being hooked on these veggie noodles I decide to branch out and try them with tomato sauce. I also had an eggplant I randomly picked up at the store too. So why not?

Searching on pinterest I saw many yummy pins to try. Did I stick with one? Nope! Of course not.

Ingredients
• 2 zucchini
• 2 yellow squash
• 1 eggplant
• 3 garlic minced
• Ragu sugar free sauce
I real wanted to make homemade sauce but forgot the tomatoes.
• Mrs. Dash seasoning

Zoodled up the zucchini and yellow squash then fluffed the noodles to separate them. I greased my dish with olive oil and sprinkled in the veggie noodles. Tossed in some minced fresh garlic. (My hands still smell like garlic. Any tips?) Pour the Ragu on top of the noodles and spread evenly.  Then I sliced up my eggplant and placed 6 pieces on top. Dashed basalmic vinaigrette on top of each one them sprinkled the dairy free Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

I'm really excited to taste this yummy  veggie pasta dish. My house smells amazing right now from cooking this dish.

It makes me want a live of garlic cheese bread though. Yummmmmmo! But no! I won't :)

Day 4

Friday, April 4, 2014

My whole day was off! I was excited when I was reminded no fiber drink on day 4!!!! Yes!!!

It was a long busy night/ morning at work and I was hungry when I got off at 8:30am. I was also sleepy. When I got home the little Rogers kids aka my fur babies. (My granny calls my dogs that... LOL! It's so damn cute) They were so excited to see me. I wanted to snuggle with them but I needed food and my morning pills for the cleanse.

•catalyst and the restore packet.

Egg muffin and strawberries for breakfast with some orange infused water.

*** I didn't drink a spark because I needed sleep.***

I was able to sneak up to bed and pass out with my hubby. I'm sure he woke up but I was trying to be so quiet. Blue snuggled on my pillow like usual and Izzie was on puppy crack! Ugh! The trick was a belly rub and snuggles from me. Passed OUT! Our bed was full and so was my heart. I wanted to freeze that moment. It's rare with our crazy work schedules.

I was hungry when I woke up and needs some energy. I had that pre made spark I forgot yesterday waiting on me.

•Lunch- I headed up a turkey burger and sweet potato I ate the burger alone and the sweet potato was so yummy and sweet. Strawberry and lemon infused water. (My favorite)

This is now around 4:00pm and the hubby has to go into work at 5:30. I was starting to get into the sad alone mode. I have 3 days off and he has to work every night which means he'll be sleeping during the day. Total bummer!

We had horrible storms today and it was so gloomy. That called for catch up on the DVR shows. I might be a tv junkie. Sorry not sorry. But if you're interested in my favorite shows that are on right now I'll list a few below. You can go online to the networks websites and catch up if you haven't start watching them already.

• Breathe
• Crisis
• Resurrection

• Dance Moms
• Ru Paul's Drag Race

No judging!!! ;)

I took a quick trip to the store to return a movie to the "vending machine" rental. Why didn't I come up with that idea? Lord knows I've been to plenty of bending machines!

I needed a few things

• extra virgin olive oil.
• balsamic vinegar
• paper towels
• dairy free Parmesan cheese
(Shut the front door)
• strawberries
• green apples
• dairy free chocolate chips
(For the win!!!!!)
• avacados
• garlic gloves

•Dinner- zucchini and yellow squash noodles with garlic, cherry tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.  Sautéed that up and added a piece of grilled chicken from meal prepping. Used some of the dairy free Parmesan cheese and went to town! Nommed that pasta up! It was probably one of the best meals I've made in a while. Pat on the back!

I'll stop bragging... ;)

I have plenty of veggies for making zoodles and plan to make baked spaghetti with the yellow squash, zucchini, and eggplant. Ground turkey and I'm going to attempt homemade spaghetti sauce. Fingers crossed. Damn! I forgot to buy tomatoes! :(

I'll post all about that tomorrow on my day off.

Enough rambling from me tonight.

I need to get back into regular sleep mode and don't want to waste my days off sleeping too late. I will sleep in... But not late. :)

Day 4 was weird like I said but overall a good day and night.

Xoxo,
Mrs. Rogers

It doesn't look pretty but it was so yummy!

I added grilled chicken.

Day 3

Thursday, April 3, 2014

Well this day was all out of sorts! I was off until 5:00pm so that meant time to sleep in if possible since I would be working over night. Well that was a success! I slep until 10:45. Woke up and started my usually routine.

The hubby wanted sushi since it's half price sushi day at our local place. Ugh!!! But I want sushi too!! Oh and a beer!!

I behaved... No sushi.... No beer...

Day started off with

Spark and catalyst

Drank fiber drink and 8oz of water before heading to lunch with the hubby. (Today I thought it tasted better than yesterday... But still nasty.)

I ordered seaweed salad and chicken. No sauce on the chicken was a little hard to explain... Then I went into the whole "I'm on a cleanse...

I did however want to shank my hubby in the neck with chop sticks while watching him enjoy a cold beer and yummy sushi.

Oh that's right... That's how the gut got here anyways... Duh! Just say no!!!

Back in time to shower and get ready for work and snuggle with my pups before heading off to the funeral home for the night.

I packed like I was leaving for days... I packed two different meals just incase I didn't like the first choice. Haha!

3 fruit infused mason jars were packed also. Along with 2 sparks powder packs.

Snack- I had an apple with almond butter while driving to work.

Once I got there I did not stop. And guess who forgot their spark in the fridge at home....? THIS GIRL!!! Total bummer and I didn't have an extra blender bottle. I felt helpless and wanted to cry. My amazing husband offered to bring me mine but I declined. Sweet fella though.

Dinner happened late because I had no choice.

Dinner- baked chicken with sautéed spinach and tomatoes.
(It was the last prepped one and still taste amazing) probably one of my new favorite meals and so simple.

At dinner I took my catalyst and omegaplex pills.

Right before trying to lay down for the night I'm taking my herbal cleanse pill packet.

Tomorrow is no fiber drink y'all!!!
 One happy gal right here!!!

Hope all is going well on day 3 for everyone. I've had a headache this evening... I need a spark! Off to mix up one just incase I'm running the roads all night.

Mrs. Rogers

Fruit Infused Water

I need to drink more water! I'm that person that always gets lemon in her water when out... So why not do it at home? But, spice it up a notch with other fruits.

I found so many ideas on Instagram and Pinterest. I needed larger mason jars though. I was on a mission to find more than 16 ounce jars. Amazon of course had them. Walmart was the golden ticket!! 12 jars for $9.98!!! Holla!

Not only are they fun to make and they look super cute but taste amazing!!
Don't be afraid to try something different.

favorite flavors so far...

•strawberry and kiwi

•oranges

•lemon and strawberry

• lime and strawberry

•raspberry and lemon

All you do is chop up some fruit and toss it in your mason jars. Fill with water and place in the fridge overnight. So simple and easy. I've also made large pitchers of orange water just because it's my favorite.

I want to see your infused water pictures!! Post them on Instagram and tag me!!!

And off to Walmart y'all go!!!
(Don't wear pjs please!!)

Mrs. Rogers

Day 2

I woke up late and felt rushed. Not a good way to start off the second day. I had my spark pre made in the fridge nice and cold waiting on me. Chugged it down and got ready in a hurry.

I was temped to wait and drink my fiber drink at work.... That was a big negative!! So I downed it right before I walked out the door. Nasty as usual. I did mix less water with it this time to get it down faster. LoL! Shew!

Hurry up and loaded my breakfast and packed my lunch box for the day. I had no time to eat at home.

Off I was to work and not even 2 mins away for the house I got the "stomach gurgle" oh crap! Yeah, couldn't turn around and had to wait until I got to a gas station. Yeah... Not a fan of going in public but what's a girl to do...? I picked Weigles which has a super nice bathroom for a gas station. (tmi- it was solid) there done! Poo question answered. I will say I felt EMPTY!!! You all know that feeling after a poo... Don't even play! Hahaha!!! ;)

6:00a- spark and catalyst

6:50a- fiber drink and 8oz of water

Breakfast- egg muffin and oatmeal.

Snack- Granny Smith apple with Justin's hazelnut natural butter. It's chocolate flavored yo!!!

Lunch- baked chicken with sautéed spinach and cherry tomatoes. I also added half an avacado because I love them.
Jnmkm
Snack- dried strawberries

Dinner- ZOODLES!!! Sautéed zucchini noodles with lemon juice, capers and fresh garlic sautéed. Then placed a piece of baked lemon chicken on top. I was in heaven and nommed the hell out of those zoodles!

-Took a catalyst and omegaplex with dinner

I had 3 mason jars of detox fruit water during the day. 2 sparks. And bottles of water. Pee'd all day! Even did the pee dance trying to get my panty hose down. Haha!

Before bed I took my herbal cleanse pills.

Overall today was a busy day at work and I stayed energized with the help of Spark. I'm ordering another flavor today to switch up the flavors in the day. I miss Watermelon so that's probably the flavor I'll go with. And it's just smarter to order the tub. It's 52 servings for about $55 with shipping and tax. So add up all t
hose Starbucks or Dunkins and you'll want to slap yourself!

Spark is only 45 calories!!! 120mg of caffeine oh and you mix it with water!! 20 ounces of water! That also counts as your water intake!

I work overnight on day 3 so I'll be off all day until 5:00p and will sleep in. I also have 3 days off!! THANK GOD!!!! I need it!

Hope all is well and going strong!

Xoxo,
Mrs. Rogers
